Jason Clarke Faces Alaska’s Wild in Trailer For Apple TV+ Thriller THE LAST FRONTIER

Apple TV+ has dropped the intense official trailer for its upcoming thriller series The Last Frontier, and it looks like a gripping mix of survival and conspiracy.

The story follows U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick, played by Jason Clarke, who finds his isolated jurisdiction in Alaska thrown into chaos after a prison transport plane crashes in the unforgiving wilderness.

The wreck unleashes dozens of violent inmates into the wild, and while Remnick is committed to protecting his small town, he starts to realize the crash may not have been an accident at all. Instead, it could be the beginning of something far more dangerous.

The series follows “Frank Remnick (Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of all the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick's jurisdiction is turned upside-down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates.

“Tasked with protecting the town he's vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn't an accident, but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.”

Alongside Clarke, the cast features Dominic Cooper, Haley Bennett, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum, and Alfre Woodard, with Clifton Collins Jr.. The series is directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, Tracks, Chappaquiddick) and Sam Hargrave (Extraction 1 & 2), bringing a mix of gritty realism and action spectacle to the story.

The Last Frontier was created and written by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist) and Richard D'Ovidio, with additional writing from Melissa Glenn.

There’s clearly more going on here than just rounding up escaped prisoners. Between the harsh Alaskan wilderness, the survival thriller energy, and the suggestion of a larger conspiracy, this looks like a tense and unpredictable ride.

The series will premiere on the streamer October 10th, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be a wild ride that feels like a blend of Con Air and The Grey.
