Inside Look Teaser Trailer Drops for BLUE EYE SAMURAI Season 2

Netflix has released a first look teaser trailer for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, and it’s setting the stage for another brutal, beautifully animated chapter in Mizu’s revenge-fueled journey.

The teaser, revealed during Anime NYC, features behind-the-scenes insights from co-creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, along with executive producer Jane Wu.

“Mizu's quest for revenge will continue. Season 2 of the award winning series, Blue Eye Samurai is now in production.”

While they didn’t reveal much, they hinted at some intriguing twists, including potential time jumps and the return of characters we thought were long gone.

Blue Eye Samurai is a visually stunning adult animated series set in Edo-period Japan. It follows Mizu, a deadly and skilled mixed-race swordswoman, voiced by Maya Erskine, who lives in disguise while hunting down those responsible for her tragic past.

The series has an awesome cinematic style and deep, emotional storytelling. The new teaser doesn’t show much, but even a glimpse of Mizu back in action is enough to get fans hyped.

Blue Eye Samurai is animated by Blue Spirit and also produced by Haven Alexander and Nick Read. Netflix hasn’t locked in a release date yet, but expect Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 to arrive sometime in late 2026 or early 2027.
