Netflix’s ONE PIECE Season 2 Sets Sail in March and Poster Art Reveals Luffy on Drum Island

Netflix has officially announced that One Piece Season 2 will premiere on March 10, and I’m excited to jump into the next big adventure with the Straw Hat Pirates.

Along with the release date, Netflix dropped a poster featuring Iñaki Godoy’s Luffy braving the icy peaks of Drum Island, which is a key location that longtime fans will be familiar with.

The live-action One Piece series follows Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of misfit pirates as they search the seas for the legendary treasure known as the One Piece, once hidden by the late Pirate King, Gold Roger.

The first season ended on a high note, with the crew celebrating their victory over Arlong and saving the Conomi Islands. As they set sail again, a new bounty looms over Luffy’s head signaling that even bigger challenges await.

Season 2 will dive straight into the East Blue Saga’s next chapters, taking fans through Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and the snow-covered Drum Island.

The fan-favorite reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper will finally make his live-action debut, which has been one of the most anticipated inclusions since the show began.

Executive producer Matt Owens also teased what’s to come, saying that fans can expect Dr. Kureha to play a major part in the new season.

The returning cast includes Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Morgan Davies, and Jeff Ward, reprising their roles as Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Koby, and Buggy respectively.

The series comes from Eiichiro Oda and Season 2 is also expanding the world of One Piece with an impressive lineup of new faces. The additions include Mikaela Hoover, Rigo Sanchez, Yonda Thomas, James Hiroyuki Liao, Sophia Anne Caruso, Mark Penwill, Anton David Jeftha, Charithra Chandran, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Katey Sagal, Mark Harelik, Daniel Lasker, Camrus Johnson, Jazzara Jaslyn, David Dastmalchian, Werner Coetser, Brendan Murray, Clive Russell, Callum Kerr, Julia Rehwald, Rob Colletti, Ty Keogh, Joe Manganiello, and Lera Abova.

With One Piece Season 1 proving to be a rare success story for anime-to-live-action adaptations, expectations are high for what comes next. Seeing the Straw Hats venture into Drum Island and beyond is bound to be an exciting chapter for fans.
